HOW
TO INSTALL A SERENADE BATH
Installing
a SERENADE bath, jetted bath, corner bath panel
or shower tray is simple if you follow these steps:

| Jetted bath | Corner
bath panel | Shower tray
|

HOW
TO INSTALL A "SERENADE" BATH
- Decide
how high you want the bath above the floor.
(It is recommended that it should be at least
450mm above the floor.) Securely fasten support
battens against the back of the sidewall. make
sure they are level.

- Place
the bath in position with the backside resting
on the battens. Check the levels.
- To
support the underside of the bath, place three
equally spaced rows of bricks, with ample mortar,
under the reinforcing ribs of the bath. The
first row should be as close as possible to
the waste fitting. Make sure the open sides
are now level with the ends of the battens.

- Install
taps and waste pipe fittings.

- Brick
up the open sides of the bath. Plan your access
trap (inspection door) to allow access to the
waste and overflow should the need arise. Allow
enough space so that when it is plastered and
tiled, the tiles will be even enough with the
edge of the bath. Plaster walls and lay tiles
when ready. Use only mildew-resistant silicone
sealant between top edge of bath and tiles.

Remove
all plaster, broken tiles and paint splashes from
bath and check for scratches. Scratches can be
removed by polishing with a metal polish (e.g.
Brasso). Deeper scratches can be removed by first
sanding with a very fine water paper, followed
by polish.

HOW
TO INSTALL, OPERATE AND CLEAN A SERENADE JETTED
BATH.
Conversion
includes:
- Serenade
bath of your choice.
- Minimum
of 4 adjustable white jets with matching suction.
- Self-draining
system.
- High
quality SABS approved pump with safety cut-out.
- Custom
built cradle with adjustable feet.
- Chrome
or gold jets and fittings are supplied along
with an inline heater (by special order only).
Make
sure that all of the above items are included.
Installation
instructions
- The
Serenade jetted bath should be installed like
any normal bath using battens to secure the
lip of the bath, the bath mounted onto a custom
build cradle and feet.
- Throw
a thin, approximately 40mm, mortar base on the
floor to secure the bath in position.
- Make
sure that the clear tubing (3mm pipe) is connected
between the PVC junction box and its below button.
- Plan
your access trap (inspection door) to the pump
and inline heater before bricking up of the
bath. The access trap should be approximately
500mm x 500mm. Where possible, one should allow
airflow under the bath.
- The
electrical connection from the pump must be
connected to a 15-amp normal house supply directly
to a D/B board through to an earth leakage.
Operating
the Spa System
- The
jets should be submerged before starting the
pump.
- The
jetted bath is also manually operated via the
air control situated on the bath (push button).
- The
air intake on your jetted bath is also manually
operated via the air control situated on the
flange of the bath next to the push button (flat
round DID).
- The
flow through the jets can be adjusted by screwing
the nozzle in or out.
Cleaning
the Spa System
- For
cleaning purposes the chrome or gold air jet
covers in the bottom of the bath may be removed
by placing the hand flat on the cover and then
unscrewing.
- Replace
the air jet covers firmly after cleaning.

HOW
TO INSTALL A SERENADE CORNER BATH PANEL

- Turn
bath around, screw panel clips onto panel blocks
no. 3.
- Clip
panel onto the bath by using the clips.
- Line
up the block no. 2 and fasten them to the panel
blocks no. 1.
- Mark
the holes to be drilled into the panel indicated
in drawing A.
- Install
bath the same height as the panel.
- Insert
panel as per drawing B & screw panel onto
blocks with the panel screws.
- Now
put the panel screw caps on.

HOW
TO INSTALL A SERENADE SHOWER TRAY
- Place
your new Serenade shower tray in the position
on the floor that you would like it to go.
- Mark
the outline of the tray on the floor with a
marker, also remember to mark the waste position.
- Remove
the shower tray.
- Ensure
that the floor is clean and free of dirt.
- Lay
PVC pipe over the marked hole. (Allow an extra
pipe, which can be cut to size later.)
- Remember
to allow a suitable fall in the PVC pipe
to cater for fast drainage of wastewater.
- If
you are unable to get a good 'fall' on the
pipe, we advise you to build up the shower
to allow for this.
- Lay
your bricks around the marked area on the floor.
(So it looks like a small 'dam'.)
- While
the mortar is drying, you can connect your Tourbillion
Waste to the tray.
- Double
check that your PVC pipe and waste will connect.
(Do not connect yet.)
- Once
the mortar and brickwork is dry, tile over the
bricks inside and out.
- Please
remember to seal the grouting with Bond it or
Shower Seal. (Both products are available from
CTM.)
- Place
some river sand inside the small 'dam'.
- Take
the Shower Tray and wedge it into the sand so
that the edges of the tray touch all around
the small 'dam'. You may have to add or remove
some sand to get it level. The key thing to
remember is that the tray must feel solid.
- Once
you have this right, connect the PVC pipe and
the Tourbillion Waste. (Please check that there
is not sand or dirt in the PVC pipe.)
- Apply
silicone sealant around the edges of the shower
tray. This will prevent any water running under
the tray.
- Please
make sure that you wait the required time specified
on the silicone label before using the shower.
