WHAT
YOU NEED TO DIY
- Drill
and a 12mm masonry drill bit
- Spirit
level
- Masking
tape
- Product
specific fixations
- Small
amount of mortar
- Pencil
- Ballpoint
hammer for tap holes in basins
- Tape
measure

HOW
TO INSTALL A BASIN
Consul
and Courier with pedestal

- Before
installing your basin you will need to first
install your tap/s.
- Locate
the semi-punched holes and using a ballpoint
hammer gently tap the top of the basin above
the semi-punched holes for the type of tap you
will be using. Please tap gently because if
you tap too hard you will break the basin. (Alternatively,
ask one of our sales assistants to tap them
out for you.)
- It
is also recommended to now put in your waste.
The waste comes with its own seals, so no plumbers
putty is necessary.
- Now
that you have placed your tap/s into your new
basin, place basin on top of pedestal, firmly
against the wall.
- Using
a spirit level, ensure that the basin is level.
- Using
your pencil, mark the holes for the fixations
on the wall.
- Remove
the basin and pedestal.
- Apply
masking tape over the pencil marks.
- Ensure
that the spacing between the fixation marks
is 200mm, and that they are level.
- Drill
the two holes through the masking tape. (The
tape will protect the tiles from damage.)
- Mount
the basin onto the wall with the fixations.
Do not tighten yet.
- Ensure
that the plastic protector is in between the
nut and the basin.
- Check
that the basin is level.
- Place
the pedestal under the basin and make sure that
it is straight.
- Once
you are happy that the basin is level and the
pedestal straight, you may tighten the fixations.
(Never over tighten the fixations; this will
cause the basin to crack.)
Half
pedestal and Consul basin

- Follow
the first 4 steps as they are in 'How to install
a basin - Consul and Courier with pedestal'.
- Using
a tape measure and spirit level, mark the height
desired for the basin.
- Using
your pencil, mark the holes, for the fixations,
on the wall.
- Apply
masking tape over the pencil marks.
- Ensure
that the spacing between the fixation marks
is 200mm, and that they are level.
- Drill
the two holes through the masking tape. (The
tape will protect the tiles from damage.)
- Mount
the basin onto the wall with the fixations.
Do not tighten yet.
- Loop
the half pedestal springs in the basin fixations
as illustrated above.
- Ensure
that the plastic protector is in between the
nut and the basin.
- Check
that the basin is level.
- Once
you are happy that the basin is level, you may
tighten the fixations. (Never over tighten the
fixations; this will cause the basin to crack.)
- Hook
the half pedestal onto the springs.

HOW
TO INSTALL A PAN

- Place
pan in front of the waste outlet in the wall,
with the pan's outlet at the back.
- Ensure
that your pan connector will be long enough
and that they are at the correct height. If
the height or length is not correct, you may
have to change the pan connector. We sell three
different sizes: 'Straight pan connector', 'Off
centre pan connector' and a 'Jolly flex pan
connector'. The Off centre pan connector usually
does the job, as it helps with off centre or
height problems.
- Place
your cistern in the correct place to ensure
that the pan is the correct distance from the
wall.
- Check
that the pan is level, if not, this will mean
that it is possible that the floor is not level.
If this is the case you may have to use some
mortar under the pan to level it.
- Once
you have the pan in place, with the cistern,
pan connector and the pan level, take off the
the cistern and connector.
- Using
your pencil, mark the holes for where you need
to drill for the pan fixations.
- Place
masking tape on the floor where you need to
drill the holes. (The masking tape will protect
the tiles from any damage.)
- Place
the pan connector onto the back of the pan,
with the wider of the two holes onto the pan
and the other side slots into the waste outlet.
- Place
the pan with the pan fixation lined up and put
in the pan fixations as illustrated above.
- Before
attaching the cistern, you need to assemble
the cistern's mechanism as per the instructions
inside the package. (Ensure that it is the correct
mechanism for your cistern and pan combination.)
- Attach
the cistern
- If
it is a close-coupled pan (this is when
the cistern is mounted on top of the pan),
you will fix the cistern to the top of the
pan, following the instructions found with
the mechanism packet.
- If
it is a low level pan, or a semi close-coupled
pan, the cistern needs to be mounted onto
the wall. Follow these instructions:
- Place
the cistern in the position that is
needed, (with the PVC connection pipe
in place as per instructions) and mark
the hole found in the back of the cistern.
- Using
your pencil, mark the tile/wall.
- Place
masking tape over the pencil marks and
drill the two holes.
- Fix
the screws, supplied in the mechanism
pack, through the holes in the back
of the cistern, being careful not to
tighten too tight as that will cause
the cistern to break.
- Before
connecting the water, first check that there
is nothing blocking the pan's outlet.
- Now
you can attach the flexi hose to the cistern
and the wall angle value.
- Switch
on the water and test the mechanism.
- Finally,
attach your toilet seat.

HOW
TO INSTALL A BIDET

- Before
installing a bidet, you need to ensure that
the necessary plumbing has been done. You need
an outlet and a hot and cold inlet.
- Connect
your Bidet Mixer and waste to the bidet. Test
to see that the waste is working properly when
you use the water lever.
- Place
your bidet over the outlet and ensure that it
is level. (If it is not level, you may have to
use some mortar to get it level.)
- The
bidet, like the toilet pans, comes with holes
for it to be fixed on the floor.
- Using
your pencil, mark the floor through the fixation
holes.
- Stick
some masking tape over the pencil marks.
- Drill
the holes.
- Fix
the bidet to the floor with the pan fixations.
Be careful not to over tighten as that could
cause the bidet to break.
